Online meeting held with the winners of the "Digital Solutions in the field of Culture and Creativity" startup competition

On December 29, minister of culture Anar Karimov held an online meeting with the winners of the startup competition "Digital solutions in the field of Culture and Creativity" organized by "Creative Azerbaijan" portal (creative.az).

The winners were Rashid Aghamaliyev, author of the Aydin and Aydan project, Farrukh Rahimov, author of the CreativeMart project, and Asli Samadova, head of the Online Digital Art Archive project and founder of the Ta (r) Dino Art Platform.

At the meeting, the winners informed about their projects and presented their proposals for the development of creative industries and for the expansion of the startup movement in Azerbaijan. Anar Karimov congratulated the winners of the competition and exchanged views with them on creative industries and startups. He noted that the Ministry of Culture attaches great importance to supporting innovative activities in our country, including startups, and noted that this direction is one of the main directions in the development of the ministerial new strategy. At the end, Anar Karimov wished the winners success in the implementation of projects.

It should be noted that in order to support new ideas and approaches in the field of culture and creativity in Azerbaijan, "Creative Azerbaijan" portal of the Ministry of Culture announced a startup competition "Digital solutions in the field of culture and creativity" on April 10, 2020. About 50 projects were submitted to the competition. Seven of the most successful of these projects qualified for the second video pitching stage, which started on August 23, 2020. The jury selected the winners of the competition, who were announced later on December 8, 2020.

The total prize fund of the project was 10,000 manats.
